The Cat Club Podcast Memorial Day 2018 Edition

Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving in the country’s armed forces. It should be a day of thought and reflection by all of us.

As such, we wanted to give you a different take on what many would consider a traditional playlist of songs. We asked myriad people to give us songs by local bands/musicians that evoke the image of what Memorial Day means to them. The responses were wide-ranging,  from melancholy to upbeat. But, the common thread running through all 10 songs is a feeling that is unique to the individual.

We hope that you enjoy this playlist of local music as you celebrate Memorial Day in your own way. Please check out the bands that are featured and remember that there is a plethora of wonderful music right outside your door.

Playlist

  1. Black Owls – June ’71
  2. Lizard McGee – Holy Ghost Letter
  3. Hello Luna – Empathy
  4. Hells Fire Sinners – Laid To Rest
