The Cat Club Podcast with Lindsay Jordan – Episode 132

The Cat Club Podcast airs each Monday on the Music in Motion Columbus radio network.

We’re kicking off Thanksgiving week by proving that big things come in small packages.

Combining elements of Patsy Cline, rock-n-roll and Waylon Jennings, all while coupled with a punk rock attitude and a dash of “River Road Trash”, Lindsay Jordan is making her mark on the local music scene. She has an infectious smile that will always leave you feeling better after meeting her.

Jordan’s music tells the stories of her life, from her youth in Morgantown, West Virginia, attending college in North Carolina, and her current home of Columbus. Her lyrics are raw and gritty, yet sound serenely wonderful dressed in her mellifluous voice. With stories ranging from homecoming queens to drug addiction, she tells the story of America.

We run through a gamut of emotions, from happy to sad, with laughter laced throughout the show.

The newest member of the studio’s rescue animal menagerie, Bullet, decided he wanted to add his voice to the show. He wanted attention from Lindsay, as evidenced by his little barks.

Music on this week’s episode:

  1. Slinging Wings and Smoking Weed
  2. Never Mine
  3. The Last Homecoming Queen
  4. Student Loans and Methadone

She has partnered with Columbus musician Paige Vandiver (Linden Hollow and The Salty Caramels) on For: Blue Eyes, a music blog you can find HERE.
