We’re changing it up this week on the show…
The Phantom Grins showed up at the studio door with beer and laughter, so of course we had to let them in! Tim Campbell, Cody Lake (Thing 1), Cody Bayles (Thing 2) and Kurt Gordon bill themselves as an alternative rock hodgepodge from Columbus, OH. And yes, to differentiate the two members named Cody, we renamed them Thing 1 and Thing 2.
Although they are getting ready to head into the studio to lay down tracks for their debut album, they have nothing recorded presently. Since we’re just like Gumby (flexible), we decided to play music from the other bands on the bill for their next show on December 14 at the Big Room Bar for The Huge Euge Holiday Show.
You’ll hear about the origins of the band and get the group’s “take” on the songs we chose to play on the show. We surprised the guys in the final segment, as we send out a much deserved congratulations to a band from Cincinnati for winning the CEA (Cincinnati Entertainment Award) for Best Video.
As it usually is, there is much laughter, stories, music and so much more…
