The Cat Club Podcast with Hello Luna – Episode 93

You never forget your first…

We were honored to have Kenzie, Diego and Michael of Columbus alternative rock band Hello Luna join us in the studio for this week’s show. They were the very first band that appeared on Music In Motion Columbus. For that reason, and myriad others, they will always hold a special place within our hearts.

You’ll hear some wonderful music, including Sound and Sorrow recorded live at Mindrocket for The JimmyFro Show. Show host Rick does his best to convince the band to play their seldom played song Stitching Holes at their next live show in Columbus (Steadfast Music Festival) on March 9, including attempting to bribe Diego with the promise of adult beverages.

You’ll also hear stories from them, as they reminisce about their origins in music and how they melded Kenzie’s acoustic folk styling with Diego and Michael’s punk & rock formative years. You’ll hear the story of how they landed a spot at the Bunburry Festival in 2017, as they relate the feeling of having their parents see them perform there.

They tease us all, saying they are demoing new music this year for a new album. They let you know, in no uncertain terms, that they truly appreciate their fans, as well.

You never know what will happen on the show, which is why we always call what we do podcasting without a net…

Music on the show:

  1. Tell Me
  2. Sound and Sorrow – Live from Mindrocket
  3. Stitching Holes
  4. Half Asleep
